Five Quick Valentine’s Day Looks to Spice Up Your Night

It might be chilly outside but here’s news to warm your heart: Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. Although Valentine’s Day is that one holiday that everyone either loves to hate or hates to love, nothing makes you fall in love all over again than perfecting your makeup look. Roses are red, violets are blue, here are five Valentine’s Day looks perfect for you!

1. Classic Bold Red Lip

A fan-favorite, the classic red look never seems to disappoint. Use subtle eyeshadow and enhance your look with a bold red lip. If you’re feeling classic Hollywood glam, create a nice cat eye with your bold lip! Add some mascara and you’re ready to go! Classic, stunning, and oh, so gorgeous!

*Tip: If you’re looking for the perfect red lipstick for your look, try MAC’s Ruby Woo.

2. Pretty In Pink…Eyeshadow

Apply some light pink eyeshadow in your crease and add a pop of shimmer on the eyelid. Keeping this look sweet and simple, apply some mascara to your lashes. Pop on some pink lip gloss and you’re set!

3. Bold Pink Shadow and Pink Lip

Sticking with the pink theme, this gorgeous pink look on Katy Perry at the 2017 VMAs is definitely a great Valentine’s Day makeup look. The face makeup is very light and subtle, which allows the eyes to grab all the attention. This look can be achieved by placing a darker pink shade in the crease of the eye and applying lighter pink shades on the eyelid. Next, place liner on the top of your lashes, creating a gorgeous cat eye, and line your lower lash line. Put on a few coats of your favorite mascara, put on some light pink lipstick and you’ve created your look!

*Tip: Add a lighter shimmer shade on your brow bone to add a pop of highlight. For this look, Tarte’s Tarteist Double Take Eyeliner can help you achieve that bold top liner AND the lined lower lash line.

4. Plenty of Purple

Not a fan of pink eyeshadow? Try purple eyeshadow! This look uses purple eyeshadow in the crease and gold shimmer on the eyelid. This look also implements some liner and mascara. Apply a light pink or dark burgundy lipstick of your choice. That’s it!

*Tip: If you want to utilize a little extra purple for this look, apply some purple eyeshadow to the lower lash line. Start with lighter shades toward the inner corner of the eye and use darker shades toward the outer corner of the eye.

5. Sultry Smokey Eye

Not a fan of using vibrant colors in your makeup look? Try a smokey eye and a nude lip. Not only is this simple, but also a gorgeous classic that anyone can appreciate. For this look, start by applying a base eyeshadow on the lid. Next, apply a slightly darker shade in the form of a “u” or “v” at the outer corner of your eye. Next, take a darker shade and apply it along the edge of the “u” or “v”. Next, use another brush to blend out the eye shadows until the edges of each eyeshadow are not seen. Lastly, apply eyeliner to the top and bottom lash lines. Put on a few coats of mascara and you’ve completed your smokey eye look!

*Tip: Using brown eyeshadow for your smokey eye instead of black eyeshadow creates a more natural look. Also, the shades that you use don’t necessarily have to be very dark shades, just make sure that there is a gradient look to your mix of shades.
